After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Abdel Malek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mbare United's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdel Malek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nasser Dahleb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferhat Zemmamouche in the 9th minute of play forced Mbare United's goalkeeper Bellemou Mehenni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Djamel Yacef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nasser Dahleb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mbare United booed when Amityville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amrani Hindi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abdel Malek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdel Malek struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Nasser Dahleb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mbare United. Mourad Hindi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bellemou Mehenni having to interfere. If Abdel Malek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Amityville's Walid Khelaifia got a free kick in the 39th minute. It was beautiful to see Mbare United's Mohammed Ahmed Ben Zerguelaine in action when he in the 40th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 46th match minute, Amityville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferhat Zemmamouche to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mourad Hindi made the kick off in the second half. Nasser Dahleb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamel Yacef in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Halim Kacha during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Halim Kacha kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Mohammed Ahmed Ben Zerguelaine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Amityville defense, Djamel Yacef kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nasser Dahleb. The Amityville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nasser Dahleb should have stopped the shot. Abdel Malek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Djamel Yacef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Amrani Hindi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bellemou Mehenni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nasser Dahleb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdel Malek, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Amityville's goal looked a bit too open when Djamel Yacef came free, but Nasser Dahleb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Mbare United getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ismael Lamine Kab hit a great ball. Amrani Hindi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bellemou Mehenni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mbare United's zone, Amrani Hindi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bellemou Mehenni came out of the goal and Amrani Hindi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdel Malek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nasser Dahleb having to interfere. If Amrani Hindi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Mourad Hindi took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Bellemou Mehenni to make any attempt to save it. The Amityville supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amityville would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
