The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Hamza Laref mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Longview and the Wind Lake players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amar Bencheikh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boudjemaa Lemoui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Amar Bencheikh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Lazhar Kouici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boudjemaa Lemoui was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the game, Abdelaziz Mansouri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wind Lake's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Longview the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wind Lake fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Wind Lake's Amar Bencheikh got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17thth minute of the game Amar Bencheikh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Longview's Boudjemaa Lemoui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lazhar Kouici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amar Bencheikh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hamza Laref was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 22 minutes had been played. A collision led to West Longview getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hamza Laref hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Wind Lake's Abdelaziz Mansouri tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lazhar Kouici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Boudjemaa Lemoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boudjemaa Lemoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lazhar Kouici in the 33rd minute of the match. Amar Bencheikh struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Boudjemaa Lemoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wind Lake. The supporters of Wind Lake booed when West Longview was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelaziz Boutabout didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdelaziz Mansouri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Boudjemaa Lemoui. West Longview's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Amar Bencheikh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Said Bouzid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheikha Medjani having to interfere. The supporters of Wind Lake booed when West Longview was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad el Ibrahimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Wind Lake getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nourredine Saïfi hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Samir Said shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheikha Medjani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samir Said blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cheikha Medjani having to make a save. West Longview's Said Bouzid got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lazhar Kouici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Boudjemaa Lemoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amar Bencheikh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Djamal Chaib fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wind Lake's protests and gave Djamal Chaib a yellow card for diving instead. Djamal Chaib hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the game, Tedj Boufroura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Longview's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wind Lake the free kick. Wind Lake's Lazhar Kouici managed to work through West Longview's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lazhar Kouici dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Amar Bencheikh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudjemaa Lemoui having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amar Bencheikh in the 94th minute of play forced West Longview's goalkeeper Boudjemaa Lemoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
