With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rabah Cohen-Tannoudji in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismaël Fari saved DesertStorm from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Rabah Cohen-Tannoudji got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Halim Hanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Rabah Cohen-Tannoudji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismaël Fari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mouloud Baroudi made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Abdelkader Lacarne sent off a good shot on target. If Menad Kerkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismaël Fari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menad Kerkar in the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rachid Boulmerka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 56th minute, Rachid Boulmerka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
