Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antoine Medjani started the match with the kick off. The long shot by Ismael Kheyari in the 3rd minute really tested Kateb Adjani's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Newburyport getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mohamed Djamel hit a great ball. Rabah Khalef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hachemi Derrida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rabah Khalef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hachemi Derrida having to interfere. Kateb Adjani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Boukensa in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Ali Boukensa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kateb Adjani, passed just outside the right post. In the 17th match minute, Newburyport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Soltani to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th match minute, Closter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Kheyari to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Rabah Khalef who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Closter's Hachemi Derrida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Rabah Khalef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hachemi Derrida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Assia Hamrouche in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hachemi Derrida saved Closter from getting behind. Closter's Hachemi Derrida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Medjani in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Newburyport got a freekick which was hit by Ali Boulmerka. In the 39th minute Ali Boukensa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kateb Adjani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Ali Boukensa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newburyport's Kateb Adjani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Closter's Mohammad Abbas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hachemi Derrida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Medjani, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Cherif Mimoun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Medjani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hachemi Derrida having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ali Boukensa made the kick off in the second half. When Antoine Medjani came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Newburyport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoine Medjani couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Antoine Medjani fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hachemi Derrida, passed just outside the right post. 55 minutes into the match, Rabah Khalef had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hachemi Derrida. Closter's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rabah Khalef was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Newburyport getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Rafik Laura Douibi hit a great ball. Ali Boukensa struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Kateb Adjani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Closter. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Rabah Khalef managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newburyport's supporters rose to their feet, but Rabah Khalef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hachemi Derrida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Newburyport getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ali Boulmerka hit a great ball. In the 72nd match minute, Closter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mansour Achiu to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Antoine Medjani took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Hachemi Derrida to make any attempt to save it. Rabah Khalef struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Hachemi Derrida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newburyport. After a defensive mix-up in Closter's zone, Antoine Medjani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hachemi Derrida came out of the goal and Antoine Medjani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Medjani in the 84th minute of play forced Closter's goalkeeper Hachemi Derrida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abdellah Tahar came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Closter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdellah Tahar couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the game, René Amara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newburyport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Closter the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Newburyport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René Amara to maneuver through the defense. Kateb Adjani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mohammad Abbas went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Antoine Medjani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Newburyport eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
