Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yazid Hanin got the match started through his kick off. Nadir Nasro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karim Saïdi-Sief in the 6th minute. In the 11th minute El Chebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nadir Nasro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Chebal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Nasro having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Karim Saïdi-Sief managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Canton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Saïdi-Sief was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Chebal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nadir Nasro having to make a save. North Canton AFC's Karim Saïdi-Sief got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Chebal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nadir Nasro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from El Chebal in the 33rd minute of play. If Karim Saïdi-Sief had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nadir Nasro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from El Chebal in the 42nd minute of the match. Noureddine Bella charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noureddine Bella the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Noureddine Bella hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sulphur Springs's goalkeeper Nadir Nasro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

During the 70th minute of the match Noureddine Bella completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Noureddine Bella a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Sulphur Springs booed when North Canton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Bella didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Sulphur Springs's Karim Kerkar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdellah Medjadi Taha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Nadir Nasro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Saïdi-Sief in the 82nd minute of play. Karim Kerkar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdellah Medjadi Taha having to interfere. Karim Kerkar struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Abdellah Medjadi Taha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sulphur Springs. North Canton AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
