Weirton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Khabatou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheb Deghmani in the 14th minute of play forced Homeland AFC's goalkeeper Rachid Zerara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Abdelhamid Khabatou got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rachid Zerara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Karim Hamdani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamid Banouas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samir Meskine in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karim Hamdani saved Weirton AFC from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Weirton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abderrachid Khadra. 45 minutes into the match, Homeland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abderrachid Khadra came free, but Rachid Zerara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Homeland AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Bella to maneuver through the defense. Cheb Deghmani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Zerara having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samir Meskine was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Homeland AFC booed when Weirton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheikha Megharia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rachid Zerara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhamid Khabatou, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Weirton AFC's Karim Hamdani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Meskine in the 81st minute of play. Abdelhamid Khabatou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rachid Zerara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheb Deghmani in the 94th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Cheb Deghmani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Zerara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Weirton AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
