An unexpectedly hard shot by Fodil Bezzaz in the 12th minute of play forced Lakes by the Bay FC's goalkeeper Nabil Djebar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karim Said received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Kamel Matoub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdel Mouzaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karim Said's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamel Matoub read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Chaba Saïdi-Sief had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lakes by the Bay FC's Karim Zidān got a free kick in the 40th minute. Lakes by the Bay FC's Karim Said got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Lakes by the Bay FC booed when Woonsocket was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustapha Kouidri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fodil Bezzaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Nouredine Hanin kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Karim Said managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lakes by the Bay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Said was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Said struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kamel Matoub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lakes by the Bay FC. The Woonsocket supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lakes by the Bay FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lakes by the Bay FC.
