Frantz Djeballi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djabir Sellal having to interfere. Djabir Sellal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nordine Brahimi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohamed Boniche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakim Skif in the 20th minute of play. Djabir Sellal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Yacine in the 24th minute of play. Djabir Sellal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salah Yacine went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nordine Brahimi made a kick off. Hereford AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
