When Fodil Boutabout came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cameron FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fodil Boutabout couldn't finish the play. Zoheir Larfaoui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faouzi Allalou's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Faouzi Allalou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoheir Larfaoui was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 37 minutes into the game, Redha Madouni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mahtomedi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cameron FC the free kick.
