The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yazid Asma during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Yazid Asma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gothenburg FC's Tayeb Matoub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boubekeur Madjer in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Eatonville FC's Abdelaziz Kheyari made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tayeb Matoub was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mehdi Hanin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hocine Moussa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Gothenburg FC's Mehdi Hemdani in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mehdi Hanin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehdi Hemdani's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Abdelaziz Kheyari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Tayeb Matoub made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
