Fort Smith FC's Hachemi Boulmerka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Fort Smith FC from getting a goal against them. Hachemi Boulmerka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fathi Mouzaoui in the 10th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Fathi Mouzaoui notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fort Smith FC's Hachemi Boulmerka. Hachemi Boulmerka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdelhani Matmour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Zouba, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Fort Smith FC booed when Raceland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sofiane Ghozali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hachemi Boulmerka made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Robert Assad sent off a good shot on target. Robert Assads short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Hachemi Boulmerka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 29th minute, Tayeb Kermali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raceland FC's Fathi Mouzaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Raceland FC's zone, Samir Derrida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelhani Matmour came out of the goal and Samir Derrida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes of play, Raceland FC's Robert Assad made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hachemi Boulmerka was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Mohammed Oussar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fort Smith FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raceland FC the free kick. Mohammed Oussar hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Robert Assad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Hachemi Boulmerka made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samir Derrida made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samir Derrida in the 59th minute of play forced Raceland FC's goalkeeper Abdelhani Matmour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Assad in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hachemi Boulmerka saved Fort Smith FC from getting behind. If Robert Assad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hachemi Boulmerka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fathi Mouzaoui in the 68th minute of the match. Abdelhani Matmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samir Derrida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fort Smith FC defense, Robert Assad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hachemi Boulmerka. The Fort Smith FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hachemi Boulmerka should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute Robert Assad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hachemi Boulmerka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fathi Mouzaoui in the 86th minute of play forced Fort Smith FC's goalkeeper Hachemi Boulmerka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hachemi Boulmerka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Assad in the 86th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Fort Smith FC's Abdelhani Matmour threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samir Derrida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hachemi Boulmerka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Assad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
