After a rather tough play, Laguna Beach's Ismael Radjef got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute of the match Cheb Nasro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mimoun Fari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Laguna Beach's Mokdad Ben Khalidi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rachid Bessou. Rachid Bessou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some careless play in the Laguna Beach defense, Abdelnacer Bezzaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mimoun Fari. The Laguna Beach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mimoun Fari should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute, Adlène Meskine fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mimoun Fari, passed just outside the right post. Mohamed Abdessalam charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Abdessalam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tysons Corner getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Mohamed Abdessalam hit a great ball. Mokdad Ben Khalidi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rachid Bessou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Mokdad Ben Khalidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Bessou having to interfere. Tysons Corner's supporters rose to their feet, but Adlène Meskine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mimoun Fari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
