Walid Ahmed's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Salim Belloumi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Smail Madjer fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olean's protests and gave Smail Madjer a yellow card for diving instead. Smail Madjer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Port St. Joe's Hocine Kensi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hachemi Benhamou came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Port St. Joe reached it. During the 28th minute of the match Smail Madjer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Smail Madjer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Olean's Smail Madjer got a free kick in the 28th minute. Toufik Sadmi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kassel Meriem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hachemi Benhamou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Olean getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kamel Meskine hit a great ball. Hachemi Benhamou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toufik Sadmi in the 46th minute of play. If Kassel Meriem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Walid Ahmed made the kick off in the second half. Kassel Meriem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hachemi Benhamou having to make a save. Walid Ahmed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Belloumi having to interfere. Fawzi Madjer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hachemi Benhamou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toufik Sadmi's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Hachemi Benhamou was a little too slow when Toufik Sadmi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-1. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Toufik Sadmi took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Hachemi Benhamou to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Port St. Joe's Amine Merah got a free kick in the 77th minute. Walid Ahmed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Salim Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walid Ahmed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Belloumi having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Port St. Joe got a freekick which was hit by Samir Derrida. Chaba Oussalah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Salim Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salim Belloumi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walid Ahmed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Olean getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ismael Merzekane hit a great ball. The Port St. Joe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Port St. Joe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
