Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karim Saci kicked off to start the match. Mouloud Sadmi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thelma Hamdani's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute, Morris Plains AFC's Thelma Hamdani ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mouloud Sadmi. Mouloud Sadmi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Hocine Mansouri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Farmington's goal looked a bit too open when Thelma Hamdani came free, but Mouloud Sadmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thelma Hamdani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mouloud Sadmi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Thelma Hamdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hocine Mansouri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Saci, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hocine Mansouri having to interfere. Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Karim Saci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hocine Mansouri was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Hocine Mansouri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Saci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes, Farmington's Yahia Djamel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hocine Mansouri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Farmington reached it. In the 46th match minute, Morris Plains AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Hima to maneuver through the defense. Karim Saci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thelma Hamdani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Thelma Hamdani came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Morris Plains AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thelma Hamdani couldn't finish the play. Yahia Djamel's late challenge caught a Morris Plains AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yahia Djamel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, one of Farmington:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Farmington. Rabah Boumedienne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Sadmi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Farmington's zone, Thelma Hamdani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mouloud Sadmi came out of the goal and Thelma Hamdani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rabah Boumedienne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mouloud Sadmi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Karim Harkouk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hocine Mansouri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mansour Feraoun fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farmington's protests and gave Mansour Feraoun a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Morris Plains AFC booed when Farmington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mansour Feraoun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farmington's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
