The audience thought a goal was coming when Ben Mamouni got free with Mounir Khelaifia in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karim Lamine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Edmond Bougherra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krim Lamine was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Nasreddine Daham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of South Pasadena booed when Porterville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Moussa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nasreddine Daham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Souad Laura Douibi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mounir Khelaifia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasreddine Daham in the 30th minute of the match. Nasreddine Daham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ben Mamouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Porterville's goal looked a bit too open when Nasreddine Daham came free, but Mounir Khelaifia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. South Pasadena's Nasreddine Daham got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Porterville got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Bencheikh. The long shot by Mohammad Metref in the 44th minute really tested Mounir Khelaifia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Bougherra in the 47th minute of play forced South Pasadena's goalkeeper Krim Lamine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Souad Laura Douibi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mounir Khelaifia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ben Mamouni's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Ben Mamouni struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Mounir Khelaifia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Pasadena. Mounir Khelaifia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasreddine Daham in the 68th minute of the match. Mounir Khelaifia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Mamouni in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Souad Laura Douibi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Krim Lamine, passed just outside the right post. In the 76th match minute, Porterville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nordine Cherfa to maneuver through the defense. Mounir Khelaifia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nasreddine Daham, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Nasreddine Daham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mounir Khelaifia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porterville's Mounir Khelaifia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Mamouni in the 82nd minute of play. Nasreddine Daham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mourad Bencheikh hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. South Pasadena's Mohammad Metref couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Porterville. Mounir Khelaifia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Mamouni, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 91 played minutes Porterville got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Bedjaoui. 93 minutes into the match, South Pasadena's Nasreddine Daham sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mounir Khelaifia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Souad Laura Douibi in the 95th minute of play forced South Pasadena's goalkeeper Krim Lamine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
