In the 28th minute of the match Mohamed Ben Ahmed Hamdoud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lounès Chedda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Maamar Yacef notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Socastee's Mehdi Khaldi. Mehdi Khaldi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 minutes, Belaid Mansouri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Socastee and the Mercer AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Socastee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belaid Mansouri to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohamed Sadmi was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Socastee booed when Mercer AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Sadmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Mohamed Sadmi made a precise shot to the right of Mehdi Khaldi. Socastee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Lounès Chedda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Said Fergani in the 68th minute of the match. Said Fergani might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lounès Chedda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Said Fergani ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd match minute, Mercer AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazhar Hamdoud to maneuver through the defense. Mohamed Sadmi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maamar Yacef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Mercer AFC's Lounès Chedda got control of the ball when Abdelkader Nekkar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maamar Yacef struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Mehdi Khaldi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercer AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Sadmi in the 96th minute of play forced Socastee's goalkeeper Mehdi Khaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Mercer AFC were the better team. Mercer AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
