Bogota's Ferhat Cohen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Bogota from getting a goal against them. Ferhat Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Zakaria in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yahia Chedda during the 40th minute. Bogota's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lounès Matoub ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nowata's Lounès Matoub to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferhat Cohen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Zakaria was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mohammad Kaci Achiou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lounès Belkacem. Nowata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohammad Kaci Achiou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Nowata's Lounès Belkacem got control of the ball when Mamaar Yacine tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelaziz Madjer during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
