GalatasaraySK 1905's Khair ad-Din Djura got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Djamal Fillali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabah Benmabrouk made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Abd al-Aziz Mansouri sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, GalatasaraySK 1905 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khair ad-Din Djura to maneuver through the defense. Hamid Abdelghani charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamid Abdelghani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Cottonport got a freekick which was hit by Hamid Abdelghani. 32 minutes into the game, GalatasaraySK 1905's Abd al-Aziz Mansouri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rabah Benmabrouk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 35th minute Medjadi Aggoune shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdel Karim Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Reda Méniri hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Djamal Fillali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in GalatasaraySK 1905's zone, Medjadi Aggoune stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdel Karim Macias came out of the goal and Medjadi Aggoune tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Medjadi Aggoune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Medjadi Aggoune made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Menad Djebar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GalatasaraySK 1905 and the Cottonport players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Menad Djebar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Djamal Fillali fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Abdel Karim Macias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medjadi Aggoune in the 54th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Medjadi Aggoune in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdel Karim Macias saved GalatasaraySK 1905 from getting behind. Abdel Karim Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medjadi Aggoune, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Khair ad-Din Djura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rabah Benmabrouk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdel Karim Macias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Medjadi Aggoune showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. GalatasaraySK 1905's Abdel Karim Macias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save GalatasaraySK 1905 from getting a goal against them. When Cottonport's Medjadi Aggoune in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Medjadi Aggoune fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Karim Macias having to interfere. The Cottonport supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cottonport would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
