Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Edgewater FC's zone, Benamar Sifi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yazid Laura Douibi came out of the goal and Benamar Sifi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Laura Douibi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benamar Sifi, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benamar Sifi in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yazid Laura Douibi saved Edgewater FC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, Nassim Yahia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edgewater FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grayslake the free kick. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Edgewater FC! Ismael Drioueche shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Edgewater FC's Yazid Laura Douibi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hicham Sennaoui in the 22nd minute of play. Benamar Sifi scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yazid Laura Douibi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benamar Ghazi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rabah Messaoud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes in the game, Benamar Ghazi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rabah Messaoud having to interfere. Benamar Sifi hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Benamar Sifi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Yazid Laura Douibi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grayslake. The Edgewater FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grayslake were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benamar Sifi made a kick off. Benamar Ghazi took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rabah Messaoud. Rabah Messaoud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tedj Benarbia during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grayslake getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tedj Benarbia hit a great ball. Benamar Ghazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hicham Sennaoui in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yazid Laura Douibi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Edgewater FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Abdel Hamid Matoub hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Ismael Drioueche sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Edgewater FC's Yazid Laura Douibi didn't even have to move. Yazid Laura Douibi came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Grayslake's Benamar Sifi. But to his dismay, Benamar Sifi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Edgewater FC's Ahmed Madouni got a free kick in the 88th minute. Hicham Sennaoui might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yazid Laura Douibi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hicham Sennaoui ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hicham Sennaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benamar Sifi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Yazid Laura Douibi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benamar Sifi in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yazid Laura Douibi saved Edgewater FC from getting behind. The Grayslake supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grayslake would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
