The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th match minute, Hokendauqua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Timsit to maneuver through the defense. Mehdi Djamel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Staunton's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Chaba Djeballi 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Staunton's Mimoun Diafat got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Chaba Djeballi came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Hokendauqua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaba Djeballi couldn't finish the play. Rabah Khadra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Mimoun having to interfere. Chaba Djeballi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mohamed Mimoun came out and tried to block the shot, but Chaba Djeballi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 40th minute.

When Rabah Khadra fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hokendauqua FC's protests and gave Rabah Khadra a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Staunton booed when Hokendauqua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rabah Khadra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Staunton's Mehdi Djamel got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Staunton's Mimoun Diafat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tayeb Benida. That made the score 2-2 after 64 minutes of play. After 81 played minutes Hokendauqua FC got a freekick which was hit by Abdelkader Aït Salem. 83 minutes into the match, Hokendauqua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mimoun Diafat came free, but Tayeb Benida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehdi Djamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayeb Benida having to interfere. Chaba Djeballi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Mimoun having to interfere. The Staunton players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
