The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ali Kourichi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Maroc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Ahmed Maroc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rachid Harkat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ali Kourichi made a huge save. A hard shot 15 in the game by Rachid Harkat from a close distance when the talented Ali Kourichi managed to make a qualified save. Bald Knob's players were relieved. In the 17th minute Ahmed Maroc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Kourichi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bald Knob getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Abdelhamid Bruel hit a great ball. When Ahmed Maroc came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Lenoir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Maroc couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yazid Bencheikh got free with Ali Kourichi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Kourichi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Maroc, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Yazid Bencheikh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Kourichi having to interfere. Bald Knob's Abdelhamid Bruel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Hamid Brahima to make the kick off. In the 60th minute Ahmed Maroc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Kourichi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Hamid Brahima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Smail Zaaboub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rachid Harkat in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Kourichi saved Bald Knob from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Ahmed Maroc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lenoir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ahmed Maroc might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Kourichi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmed Maroc ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rachid Harkat came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Lenoir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rachid Harkat couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Bald Knob defense, Ahmed Maroc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Kourichi. The Bald Knob fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Kourichi should have stopped the shot. Ahmed Maroc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenoir were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bald Knob for a fine match.
