The Washburn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdellah Medjadi Adjani should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Washburn's goalkeeper Abdellah Medjadi Adjani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Besseghir. Djamal Zafour charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Djamal Zafour the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Washburn booed when Bloomfield Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djamal Zafour didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jussef Rimitti came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Washburn's Abderaouf Messaoudi. But to his dismay, Abderaouf Messaoudi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 26th minute, Washburn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lili Said fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abderaouf Messaoudi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jussef Rimitti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Jean Besseghir made a precise shot to the right of Abdellah Medjadi Adjani. Washburn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Besseghir got free with Abdellah Medjadi Adjani in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Washburn's Abdellah Medjadi Adjani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lili Said in the 36th minute of play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Jean Besseghir from a close distance when the talented Abdellah Medjadi Adjani managed to make a qualified save. Washburn's players were relieved. With his leg Abdellah Medjadi Adjani managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Bloomfield Hills's Jean Besseghir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lili Said was the one to do the kick off. Jean Besseghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdellah Medjadi Adjani having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bloomfield Hills's Abd al-Asis Mohamed got a free kick in the 55th minute. Abderaouf Messaoudi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Besseghir struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Abdellah Medjadi Adjani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bloomfield Hills. Bloomfield Hills's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abderaouf Messaoudi 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Jussef Rimitti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abderaouf Messaoudi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Smail Mammeri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Washburn's goal looked a bit too open when Lili Said came free, but Abdellah Medjadi Adjani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abderaouf Messaoudi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jussef Rimitti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Smail Mammeri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jussef Rimitti having to interfere. If Jean Besseghir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Smail Mammeri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Mohamed Ben Ahmed Soltani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdellah Medjadi Adjani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Washburn supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Washburn would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
