Jean-Michel Abdenouz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nadir Bensaoula, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, El Fahima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but El Fahima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 played minutes Grand Island AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abdelaziz Rahouli. The supporters of Grand Island AFC booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abd al-Aziz Saïdi-Sief didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Abd al-Aziz Saïdi-Sief hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, El Fahima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Abdelmalek Hanister made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Michel Abdenouz. Grand Island AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenal's Nadir Bensaoula slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Michel Abdenouz. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Grand Island AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Al-Jazairia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nadir Bensaoula made the kick off in the second half. Jean-Michel Abdenouz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Grand Island AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djamel Lacen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Abdelmalek Hanister got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Abdelmalek Hanister came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelmalek Hanister couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes, Nadir Bensaoula made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Grand Island AFC's Jean-Michel Abdenouz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benamar Fillali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Belaid Bahari made a huge save. When Abdelmalek Hanister came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelmalek Hanister couldn't finish the play. Abdelmalek Hanister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nadir Bensaoula struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Michel Abdenouz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 played minutes, Arsenal's Amar Hima shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jean-Michel Abdenouz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arsenal reached it. Jean-Michel Abdenouz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelmalek Hanister, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute Nadir Bensaoula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Michel Abdenouz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Arsenal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
