Spectators: 6706 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1706, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ahmed Lacen kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Yazid Ulansi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton's supporters rose to their feet, but Yazid Ulansi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Morganton's Abdelhamid Reda Madouni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Morganton from getting a goal against them. Farid Saïdi-Sief sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Lacen in the 18th minute of play forced Newton's goalkeeper Fadhil Tahar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fadhil Tahar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farid Saïdi-Sief in the 21st minute of play. Smail Saci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zīn ud-Dīn Boniche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fadhil Tahar. Newton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 35 played minutes Newton got a freekick which was hit by Ali Bouazza. Farid Saïdi-Sief received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fadhil Tahar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fadhil Tahar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Lacen in the 40th minute of the match. Farid Saïdi-Sief fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fadhil Tahar having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newton's goalkeeper Fadhil Tahar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ahmed Lacen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fadhil Tahar having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Morganton's Farid Saïdi-Sief ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fadhil Tahar. Fadhil Tahar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Ulansi in the 64th minute of play forced Morganton's goalkeeper Abdelhamid Reda Madouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Newton's Smail Saci. But to his dismay, Smail Saci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 72nd minute Smail Saci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelhamid Reda Madouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Smail Mhenni hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Farid Saïdi-Sief got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Newton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammed Hamdoud to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed Lacen might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fadhil Tahar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmed Lacen ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Yazid Ulansi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelhamid Reda Madouni was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Smail Saci in the 84th minute of the match. Morganton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
