Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) Hale FC's Madjid Dahleb started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maamar Djura in the 2nd minute of play forced Hale FC's goalkeeper Fodil Boumedienne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hale FC booed when Owego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bouabdellah Boudiaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Owego:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hale FC:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hale FC's zone, Maamar Djura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodil Boumedienne came out of the goal and Maamar Djura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Medjadi Hadjadj was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abdelmalek Mansouri. Owego's Medjadi Hadjadj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Owego from getting a goal against them. When Madjid Dahleb came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madjid Dahleb couldn't finish the play. Madjid Dahleb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Medjadi Hadjadj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodil Boumedienne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maamar Djura, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Karim Khaled managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Owego's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Khaled was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abd al-Asis Zitouni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Medjadi Hadjadj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maamar Djura to make the kick off. 3-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Abd al-Asis Zitouni elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Owego's Medjadi Hadjadj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madjid Dahleb in the 61st minute of play. Medjadi Hadjadj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abd al-Asis Zitouni in the 62nd minute of play. Maamar Djura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karim Khaleds short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Fodil Boumedienne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 79th minute of the match, Bouabdellah Boudiaf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fodil Boumedienne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Medjadi Hadjadj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Madjid Dahleb, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Amar Mammeri kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Fodil Boumedienne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maamar Djura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Karim Khaled had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hale FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Owego for a fine match.
