Yazid Gourion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Reda Bensaoula, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Delano booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Zitouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karim Zerara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Yazid Gourion made a huge save. Mouloud Bencherif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karim Zerara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Yazid Gourion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karim Belloumi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hamid Zaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ahmed Reda Bensaoula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Reda Bensaoula received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yazid Gourion came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmed Reda Bensaoula slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Belloumi in the 46th minute of play forced Delano's goalkeeper Hamid Zaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yazid Gourion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Reda Bensaoula, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karim Belloumi made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Delano's goalkeeper Hamid Zaoui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Manchester United's Safy Menguellet seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Safy Menguellet the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Manchester United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Safy Menguellet had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Delano a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nabil Chaouchi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester United's Yazid Gourion. 2-1. In the 66th minute, Farès Bensaoula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mouloud Bencherif was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Manchester United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 77 minutes into the match, Farès Bensaoula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yazid Gourion. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Farès Bensaoula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Nassim Ahmed struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hamid Zaoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Mouloud Bencherif's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamid Zaoui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Mouloud Bencherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manchester United's Mouloud Bencherif got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mouloud Bencherif got free with Hamid Zaoui in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute Manchester United were awarded a corner. Tayeb Bouzid went to the cornerflag to take it.
