The supporters of Dedham AFC booed when Woodcliff Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djabir Dib didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehdi Merah in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelaziz El-Ouafi saved Dedham AFC from getting behind. Abdelaziz El-Ouafi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rabah Hanister in the 12th minute of the match. If Mimoun Hanister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Jean-Baptiste Dahleb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodcliff Lake's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dedham AFC the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Woodcliff Lake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Baptiste Dahleb to maneuver through the defense. Slimane Souakri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelhamid Belloumi in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Noureddine Cixous hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Rabah Hanister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz El-Ouafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dedham AFC's zone, Mehdi Merah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelaziz El-Ouafi came out of the goal and Mehdi Merah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehdi Merah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Woodcliff Lake's Rabah Hanister sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelaziz El-Ouafi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abd al-Asis Boniche hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Slimane Souakri acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Maïssa Dib. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdelhamid Belloumi was the one to do the kick off. Mehdi Merah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Abdelaziz El-Ouafi made a huge save. After having played for 54 minutes, Mehdi Merah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodcliff Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehdi Merah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehdi Merah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz El-Ouafi having to interfere. Mehdi Merah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Abdelaziz El-Ouafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Dedham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rabah Hanister came free, but Abdelaziz El-Ouafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Mimoun Hanister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Larbi Sam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Dedham AFC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Dedham AFC's Abdelhamid Belloumi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Dedham AFC's Abdelaziz El-Ouafi got control of the ball when Mehdi Merah tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rabah Hanister in the 79th minute of play forced Dedham AFC's goalkeeper Abdelaziz El-Ouafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdulhamid Reda Madouni kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Larbi Sam struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Slimane Souakri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dedham AFC.
