Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) Benicia FC's Mustapha Benhabiles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cheikha Saïd-Guerni hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mourad Ouadah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madhi Larbi having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Mustapha Benhabiles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nassim Matmour, 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Mourad Ouadah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sociedad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mourad Ouadah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Khalida Medjoudj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Mustapha Benhabiles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nassim Matmour. The goal made the score 2-0. If Rabah Kheyari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalida Medjoudj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nasreddine Boulebda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madhi Larbi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mourad Ouadah's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Nasreddine Boulebda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Madhi Larbi. Benicia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nasreddine Boulebda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 46th minute Khalida Medjoudj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Madhi Larbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mourad Ouadah made a kick off. Real Sociedad's Nasreddine Boulebda got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Madhi Larbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khalida Medjoudj in the 59th minute. If Mourad Ouadah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferhat Dahleb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mohamed Ben Kafi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 75th play minutes Nasreddine Boulebda shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Madhi Larbi and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Benicia FC's Madhi Larbi got control of the ball when Khalida Medjoudj tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rabah Kheyari fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benicia FC's protests and gave Rabah Kheyari a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Benicia FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rabah Kheyari hit a great ball. Madhi Larbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khalida Medjoudj in the 85th minute. Madhi Larbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mourad Ouadah in the 86th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Khalida Medjoudj got free with Madhi Larbi in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Real Sociedad players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
