When Djamel Ihidjaten fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mini C. Ronaldo FC.'s protests and gave Djamel Ihidjaten a yellow card for diving instead. Djamel Ihidjaten kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mini C. Ronaldo FC.'s Hemza El Ouafi got control of the ball when Mamaar Mohand tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mini C. Ronaldo FC.'s zone, Mustapha Djeziri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemza El Ouafi came out of the goal and Mustapha Djeziri tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 40th minute, one of Maywood:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maywood. Maywood:s Samir Kouri showed great skill when he stopped Ismael Madouni:s penalty. In the 44th minute, Farid Abrika left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mini C. Ronaldo FC. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Farid Abrika made the kick off in the second half.
