Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ali Faudel started the match with the kick off. Leon Aribi might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samir Kouri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Aribi ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, Ali Faudel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Maywood's Samir Kouri. Samir Kouri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, Sylvester's goalkeeper Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mamaar Mohand. In the 14th minute, Sylvester's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mamaar Mohand fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sylvester's Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustapha Djeziri in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Mohammad Ibrir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mamaar Mohand got free with Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mustapha Djeziri was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustapha Djeziri in the 28th minute of play. Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustapha Djeziri in the 34th minute of the match. Mustapha Djeziri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Leon Aribi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustapha Djeziri to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Mamaar Mohand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maywood fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mamaar Mohand, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelaziz Hamid during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sylvester booed when Maywood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelaziz Hamid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sylvester's Leon Aribi got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Leon Aribi sped through Maywood's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samir Kouri. Maywood's Samir Kouri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalida Diss in the 71st minute of play. Leon Aribi struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Samir Kouri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sylvester. Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustapha Djeziri in the 75th minute of the match. Zīn ud-Dīn Bessou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mamaar Mohand in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Faudel in the 80th minute of play forced Maywood's goalkeeper Samir Kouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maywood's Mamaar Mohand got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mustapha Djeziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Maywood's Mamaar Mohand in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sylvester's goalie prevented a goal. If Ali Faudel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maywood getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Adlène Bahari hit a great ball. A hard shot 98 in the game by Leon Aribi from a close distance when the talented Samir Kouri managed to make a qualified save. Maywood's players were relieved. The Sylvester supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sylvester would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
