Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abdelnacer Zaaf took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leon Matmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amar Mami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billel el Ibrahimi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Leon Matmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, one of Monessen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monessen. 16 minutes into the game, Monessen's Billel el Ibrahimi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Matmour made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Amar Mami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Monessen got a freekick which was hit by Tayeb Boudjedra. Wilburton FC's Leon Matmour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amar Mami in the 25th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Amar Mami who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wilburton FC's Leon Matmour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Tayeb Boudjedra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monessen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Billel el Ibrahimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Matmour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amar Mami in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Wilburton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amar Mami came free, but Leon Matmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amar Mami made a kick off. Billel el Ibrahimi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Leon Matmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wilburton FC's zone, Amar Mami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Matmour came out of the goal and Amar Mami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chadli Khaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismaël Bensaoula, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Amar Mami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Matmour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Monessen got a freekick which was hit by Smail Raho. Amar Mami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Matmour having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Amar Mami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Amar Mami reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Matmour. The goal made the score 1-3. Monessen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
