Muhammad Bouazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelhamid Ibrir having to interfere. Bouzid Saïd-Guerni hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Kamel Amrouche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grass Valley AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamel Amrouche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Mhenni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mouloud Bouguerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kamel Amrouche might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rabah Mhenni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kamel Amrouche ran back to his position shaking his head. Meziane Djamel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Amrouche in the 36th minute of play forced Fruita's goalkeeper Rabah Mhenni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Safy Ahmed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelhamid Ibrir made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Fathi Bellemou Messaoud sent off a good shot on target. Grass Valley AFC's Abdelhamid Ibrir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Grass Valley AFC from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muhammad Bouazza was the one to do the kick off. Safy Ahmed's late challenge caught a Grass Valley AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Safy Ahmed helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fruita's Safy Ahmed got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 64 played minutes Grass Valley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Muhammad Sahraoui. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fathi Bellemou Messaoud in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdelhamid Ibrir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Kamel Amrouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mouloud Bouguerra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 77 minutes into the match, Grass Valley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fathi Bellemou Messaoud came free, but Abdelhamid Ibrir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Mouloud Bouguerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rabah Mhenni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chadli Ouadah couldn't finish the play. Fruita were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Grass Valley AFC for a fine match.
