In the 21st match minute, Elk River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheb Bouazza to maneuver through the defense. Elk River's Rabah Aribi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Elk River from getting a goal against them. Said Sadaoui who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Rabah Aribi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Said Sadaoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rabah Aribi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rachid Achiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rabah Aribi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Said Sadaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Westville AFC's Rachid Achiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rabah Aribi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 61st minute, Said Sadaoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mustapha Kaci Said fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houari Hamdani having to interfere. A collision led to Westville AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Mounir Abrika hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Faouzi Ammour got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Said Sadaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Said Sadaoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Aribi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rachid Achiu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rabah Aribi saved Elk River from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Rabah Allalou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match Hakim Belmadi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rabah Aribi skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th minute, Said Sadaoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Said Sadaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Houari Hamdani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faouzi Ammour in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
