The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Harahan AFC booed when Elk River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammad Kaci Boulmerka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moulay Fahima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rabah Aribi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elk River's Rabah Aribi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelaziz Djebar in the 13th minute of play. Faouzi Ammour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Tahar having to interfere. Mustapha Kaci Said fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Tahar having to interfere. Abdel Tahar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faouzi Ammour in the 26th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Harahan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Moulay Fahima. 34 minutes into the match, Harahan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Ammour came free, but Abdel Tahar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faouzi Ammour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Abdel Tahar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Elk River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabah Allalou to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Elk River's goal looked a bit too open when Moulay Fahima came free, but Rabah Aribi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafik Kouri hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Mohamed Hamdani struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Abdel Tahar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elk River. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faouzi Ammour to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mustapha Kaci Said in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdel Tahar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faouzi Ammour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdel Tahar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. When Bendjedid Kourichi fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harahan AFC's protests and gave Bendjedid Kourichi a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Harahan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bendjedid Kourichi. Abdel Tahar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faouzi Ammour, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Moulay Fahima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harahan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moulay Fahima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelaziz Djebar in the 63rd minute of play forced Elk River's goalkeeper Rabah Aribi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harahan AFC's Bendjedid Kourichi pulled a muscle in his leg after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Belaid Amirouche hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of Harahan AFC booed when Elk River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belaid Amirouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Harahan AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Yasmina Massi hit a great ball. Elk River's Mustapha Kaci Said got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelaziz Djebar got free with Rabah Aribi in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rabah Aribi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdelaziz Djebar in the 84th minute. When Abdelaziz Djebar came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Harahan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelaziz Djebar couldn't finish the play. Harahan AFC's Abdelaziz Djebar got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Elk River had won after a very even match.
