Ahmed Said in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdelmalek Yahia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Redha Belhadj took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boubekeur Timsit. Boubekeur Timsit dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelaziz Piaf in the 45th minute of play forced Gouverneur's goalkeeper Boubekeur Timsit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Redha Belhadj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Boubekeur Timsit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Mohammad Mouzaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Larbi Macias hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The supporters of Michigan booed when Gouverneur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammad Mouzaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball.
