Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ahmed Said kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Ahmed Said reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamid Said. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 7th minute, Smail Bessou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 minutes, Mohammed Ahmed Aziz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gouverneur and the North Potomac AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 12 minutes into the match, North Potomac AFC's Rabah Ahmed sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boubekeur Timsit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gouverneur's goalkeeper Boubekeur Timsit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play Gouverneur's Mohammed Ahmed Aziz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 20th minute, Mohammed Ahmed Aziz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, North Potomac AFC's Rabah Ahmed tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mohammad Mouzaoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Said having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Gouverneur's Said Bentaala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamid Said narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmed Said during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Gouverneur got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Said. Rabah Ahmed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boubekeur Timsit having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, North Potomac AFC's goalkeeper Hamid Said had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed Said. If Rabah Ahmed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anther Lamine Kab struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Boubekeur Timsit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Potomac AFC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rabah Ahmed was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ahmed Said got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamid Said didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Said Bentaala went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to North Potomac AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rabah Ahmed hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Ahmed Said shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Said saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamid Said showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Said Bentaala, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The supporters of Gouverneur booed when North Potomac AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anther Lamine Kab didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mohammad Zerara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gouverneur's Boubekeur Timsit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Smail Bessou in the 81st minute of play. After 83rd play minutes Rabah Ahmed shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Boubekeur Timsit and just under the crossbar into goal. When Anther Lamine Kab came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the North Potomac AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anther Lamine Kab couldn't finish the play. If Mohammad Mouzaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gouverneur fans cheered their team off the field, for while North Potomac AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
