Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hakim Teissier got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Staunton defense, Faouzi Laref kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamel Liegeon. The Staunton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamel Liegeon should have stopped the shot. 6 minutes into the match, Staunton's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Baptiste Cherfa came free, but Kamel Liegeon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kamel Moussaoui during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kamel Moussaoui hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Hakim Teissier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tedj Assad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samir Deghmani during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Runnemede got a freekick which was hit by Samir Deghmani. After some careless play in the Runnemede defense, Hakim Teissier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tedj Assad. The Runnemede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tedj Assad should have stopped the shot. Jean-Baptiste Cherfa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Liegeon having to interfere. Kamel Liegeon made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Karim Mansouri sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean-Baptiste Cherfa was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Jean-Baptiste Cherfa notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Staunton's Kamel Liegeon. Kamel Liegeon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karim Mansouri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Kamel Liegeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Karim Mansouri came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Runnemede fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Mansouri couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 61 in the game by Mourad Zeghdoud from a close distance when the talented Tedj Assad managed to make a qualified save. Runnemede's players were relieved. Jean-Baptiste Cherfa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Liegeon having to interfere. Kamel Moussaoui kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Staunton's zone, Karim Mansouri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamel Liegeon came out of the goal and Karim Mansouri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean-Baptiste Cherfa struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Kamel Liegeon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runnemede. Kamel Liegeon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Baptiste Cherfa, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Farid Chaib kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Kamel Liegeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Mansouri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samir Deghmani in the 83rd minute of play forced Staunton's goalkeeper Kamel Liegeon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Baptiste Cherfa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Runnemede fans cheered their team off the field, for while Staunton had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
