Hameur Taha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmed Belkheir in the 7th minute. Abdelaziz Ghazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mahmoud Boukensa in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in West Melbourne's zone, Mahmoud Boukensa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelaziz Ghazi came out of the goal and Mahmoud Boukensa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Farid Ouyahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Abdelaziz Ghazi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Ahmed Belkheir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Mamouni in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hameur Taha saved South San Jose Hills AFC from getting behind. Mahmoud Boukensa took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdelaziz Ghazi. Abdelaziz Ghazi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fathi Oussar to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, West Melbourne's Ahmed Mamouni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hameur Taha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Hicham Abdi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mahmoud Boukensa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Abdelaziz Ghazi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 61st match minute, South San Jose Hills AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Meskine to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, West Melbourne's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Ghazi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mahmoud Boukensa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Mamouni in the 65th minute of play forced South San Jose Hills AFC's goalkeeper Hameur Taha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hameur Taha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmed Mamouni's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Hameur Taha came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by West Melbourne's Ahmed Belkheir. But to his dismay, Ahmed Belkheir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jean-Michel Aziz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, South San Jose Hills AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Mamouni came free, but Hameur Taha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mahmoud Boukensa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelaziz Ghazi having to interfere. A hard shot 89 in the game by Mahmoud Boukensa from a close distance when the talented Abdelaziz Ghazi managed to make a qualified save. West Melbourne's players were relieved. In the 90th minute of the match, Fathi Oussar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abdelaziz Ghazi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. West Melbourne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
