Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ahmed Mamouni kicked off to start the match. West Melbourne's Ahmed Mamouni got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in University Gardens AFC's zone, Ahmed Mamouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fawzi Beloufa came out of the goal and Ahmed Mamouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to West Melbourne getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Hicham Abdi hit a great ball. Abdelaziz Ghazi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rachid Kharroubi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Hicham Abdi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, West Melbourne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheb Fergani to maneuver through the defense. West Melbourne's Abdelaziz Ghazi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save West Melbourne from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Mohamed Ouadah recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abdelaziz Ghazi. Mohamed Ouadah showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Rachid Kharroubi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelaziz Ghazi was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as University Gardens AFC's Rachid Kharroubi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdelaziz Ghazi. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the match, University Gardens AFC's Rachid Kharroubi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelaziz Ghazi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdelaziz Ghazi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Ouadah in the 37th minute of play. University Gardens AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Kharroubi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Mustapha Mihoubi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Melbourne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave University Gardens AFC the free kick. Mustapha Mihoubi kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. West Melbourne's Mustapha Mihoubi got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Mustapha Mihoubi off the ground. In the 42nd minute, Mustapha Mihoubi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohamed Ouadah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Abdelaziz Ghazi when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Abdelaziz Ghazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Kharroubi in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes West Melbourne got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Mamouni. Abdelaziz Ghazi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mohamed Ouadah went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the match, University Gardens AFC's Rachid Kharroubi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelaziz Ghazi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Rachid Kharroubi made a precise shot to the right of Abdelaziz Ghazi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Ouadah in the 82nd minute of play forced West Melbourne's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Ghazi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. University Gardens AFC's Rachid Kharroubi got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Hocine Bendjedid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmed Belkheir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fawzi Beloufa having to interfere.
