Ottawa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hemza Zakaria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ottawa's zone, Tedj Liegeon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Muhammad Zenia came out of the goal and Tedj Liegeon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Walid Lacarne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ottawa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. After 10 played minutes Ottawa got a freekick which was hit by Walid Lacarne. Tedj Liegeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammad Zenia having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Ottawa's Brahim Boniche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Muhammad Daham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Ottawa booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chaba Zidane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tedj Liegeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammad Zenia having to interfere. Hemza Zakaria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammad Zenia having to interfere. Muhammad Daham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nabil Hadjadj in the 27th minute of play. The corner led Ottawa's Mustapha Rahouli to fire away a dangerous shot which Muhammad Daham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Nabil Hadjadj came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ottawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nabil Hadjadj couldn't finish the play. Chaba Zidane hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Nabil Hadjadj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Karim Seghiri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tedj Liegeon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nabil Hadjadj to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Abderrachid Nabil. In the 56th minute, Hemza Zakaria fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Muhammad Daham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brahim Boniche in the 64th minute of the match. When Brahim Boniche came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ottawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brahim Boniche couldn't finish the play. Hamid Zéroual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 71 minutes into the game, Brahim Boniche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Muhammad Daham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brahim Boniche struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Muhammad Daham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottawa. Brahim Boniche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Muhammad Daham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muhammad Daham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brahim Boniche, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Brahim Boniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhammad Daham having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Nabil Hadjadj managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ottawa's supporters rose to their feet, but Nabil Hadjadj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Muhammad Daham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Reda Belkhadem got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ottawa's Brahim Boniche got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Abderrachid Nabil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ottawa fully deserved thier win.
