Rachid Fahima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cheikha Hamdani made a huge save. Fodil Zitouni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halim Semghoun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Rabah Bahari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Al-ArEEq's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Van Horn AFC the free kick. Rabah Bahari hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Yacine Mazzid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Semghoun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Halim Semghoun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fodil Zitouni in the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Rachid Fahima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rachid Fahima in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cheikha Hamdani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Van Horn AFC's Amar Mihoubi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Rabah Bahari hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Al-ArEEq's goalkeeper Halim Semghoun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yacine Mazzid. Rachid Fahima struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cheikha Hamdani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-ArEEq. Rabah Bahari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheikha Hamdani having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Ali Benzine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Al-ArEEq's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Van Horn AFC the free kick. In the 63rd minute of the match Abdelnasser Hasni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Halim Semghoun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rachid Fahima scored 3-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cheikha Hamdani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Al-ArEEq booed when Van Horn AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelhamid El-Ouafi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rachid Fahima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Benzine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheikha Hamdani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rachid Fahima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rabah Bahari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rachid Fahima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cheikha Hamdani having to make a save. After 93 played minutes Van Horn AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amar Mihoubi. Cheikha Hamdani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rachid Fahima in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Al-ArEEq had played much better football throughout.
