The Churchill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Kabatliev should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Churchill's goalkeeper Mario Kabatliev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdelkader Arrache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mansour Brahami in the 18th minute of play. Guillaume Laurent Kacha's late challenge caught a Albany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelkader Arrache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Kabatliev didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Mansour Brahami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
