Bendjedid Bouguerra hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Abdel Hamid Bezzaz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lake Los Angeles AFC's Medjadi Boudiaf. Medjadi Boudiaf was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdel Hamid Bezzaz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Poteet FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The long shot by Anther Hamdoud in the 12th minute really tested Medjadi Boudiaf's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Abdelhamid Saadane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medjadi Adjani came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Los Angeles AFC's Knodi Boulmerka. But to his dismay, Knodi Boulmerka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Poteet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine came free, but Medjadi Adjani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 28 played minutes Abdelhamid Saadane rounded Lake Los Angeles AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Abdel Hamid Bezzaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Medjadi Boudiaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine in the 34th minute of play forced Poteet FC's goalkeeper Medjadi Adjani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhamid Saadane in the 37th minute of play forced Lake Los Angeles AFC's goalkeeper Medjadi Boudiaf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lake Los Angeles AFC's Bendjedid Bouguerra got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdelhamid Saadane to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Lake Los Angeles AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bendjedid Bouguerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute of the match Poteet FC got a corner. Lake Los Angeles AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maïssa Merah ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Poteet FC's corner Maïssa Merah fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Medjadi Boudiaf quite easily take care of the ball. Medjadi Adjani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Knodi Boulmerka came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Lake Los Angeles AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knodi Boulmerka couldn't finish the play. Maïssa Merah charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maïssa Merah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lake Los Angeles AFC booed when Poteet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maïssa Merah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Medjadi Adjani made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Knodi Boulmerka sent off a good shot on target. Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Medjadi Adjani having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Medjadi Adjani was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Zīn ud-Dīn Benzine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medjadi Adjani having to interfere. Abdelhamid Saadane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medjadi Boudiaf having to interfere. Abdel Hamid Bezzaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medjadi Boudiaf having to interfere. Poteet FC's Abdelhamid Saadane got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Poteet FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lake Los Angeles AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
