After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Hocine Mesbah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wadsworth AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hocine Mesbah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Madjid Kacha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cheb Bridji during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Cheb Bridji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hocine Mesbah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustapha Zaaboub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Smail Mekhloufi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Karim Massi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadsworth AFC and the Calexico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Wadsworth AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Calexico FC:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Calexico FC. Dida Allalou stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Smail Mekhloufi. 0-1. Tedj Djeziri's late challenge caught a Calexico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tedj Djeziri helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Calexico FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Cheb Bridji hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jussef Ben Benhamou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Smail Mekhloufi made a huge save. Madhi Djenia Lkbira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Kacha having to interfere. If Mustapha Zaaboub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wadsworth AFC's Smail Mekhloufi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Wadsworth AFC from getting a goal against them. When Mustapha Zaaboub came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Calexico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustapha Zaaboub couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustapha Zaaboub in the 70th minute of play forced Wadsworth AFC's goalkeeper Smail Mekhloufi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mourad Chaib during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Wadsworth AFC booed when Calexico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad Chaib didn't get a good kick on the ball. The coaching staff of Wadsworth AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Karim Massi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 83rd minute, one of Wadsworth AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wadsworth AFC. Mustapha Zaaboub struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Smail Mekhloufi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calexico FC. After 91 minutes of play, Calexico FC's Jussef Ben Benhamou made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Smail Mekhloufi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mustapha Zaaboub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jussef Ben Benhamou in the 99thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
