In the 34thth minute of the game Fateh Sofiane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Oak's Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Corral hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Mourad Bitat made a precise shot to the right of Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri. Red Oak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mokdad Chebal to make the kick off. A collision led to Red Oak getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fodil Taha hit a great ball. Mourad Bitat in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mokdad Chebal struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Bartlomiej Andryszyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Oak. Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mourad Bitat in the 62nd minute. Kasdi Zerara kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fateh Sofiane in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri saved Red Oak from getting behind. Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fateh Sofiane in the 67th minute of play. Mourad Bitat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Portage's Mourad Bitat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After having played for 86 minutes, Madhi Bellemou Messaoud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Oak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madhi Bellemou Messaoud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Red Oak's goalkeeper Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mourad Bitat. When Fateh Sofiane came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Portage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fateh Sofiane couldn't finish the play. Fateh Sofiane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mourad Bitat got free with Zīn ud-Dīn Mammeri in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Portage played a much better game than Red Oak and deserved their victory. The Red Oak players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
