Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hachemi Morceli made the kick off and thus started the match. Rabah Chebal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fodil Medjani went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hachemi Morceli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Chebal having to interfere. Hachemi Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to South Tucson getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Boudjemaa Amri hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Abdelaziz Belkacem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Cheb Sadmi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Somerville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 28 played minutes Somerville got a freekick which was hit by Fawzi Brahami. After 31 played minutes, South Tucson's Salah Gallaire shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rabah Chebal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in South Tucson reached it. Boudjemaa Assad's late challenge caught a South Tucson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boudjemaa Assad helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Somerville got a freekick which was hit by Boudjemaa Assad. South Tucson's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abdelaziz Belkacem 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Kamel Medjoudj came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Somerville's Cheb Sadmi. But to his dismay, Cheb Sadmi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Rabah Chebal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hachemi Morceli, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Hachemi Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Kamel Medjoudj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheb Sadmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelaziz Belkacem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamel Medjoudj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, South Tucson's Walid Hanister got a free kick in the 55th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Somerville's Hemza Harkouk tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Abdelaziz Belkacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Kamel Medjoudj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cheb Sadmi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamel Medjoudj was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 63 minutes into the game, Hachemi Morceli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rabah Chebal. Hachemi Morceli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. When Somerville's Abdelaziz Belkacem in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye South Tucson's goalie prevented a goal. Fawzi Brahami kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Abdelaziz Belkacem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamel Medjoudj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Sadmi in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, South Tucson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudjemaa Amri to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Cheb Sadmi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamel Medjoudj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abdelaziz Belkacem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamel Medjoudj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheb Sadmi in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Somerville's goalkeeper Rabah Chebal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fodil Medjani. When the referee ended the match the Somerville players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
