Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) 7 minutes into the game, Redwood Falls's Amar Baroudi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mohammad Kaci Tlemcani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 10th minute Amar Baroudi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Kaci Tlemcani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Said Djamel came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Redwood Falls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Said Djamel couldn't finish the play. Jean-Michel Mihoubi hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Malta's goalkeeper Mohammad Kaci Tlemcani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmed Beloufa. The attack was good, but when Cheb Harkouk in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 22 minutes into the game, Madhi Saadane threw the ball into play from the sideline. Malta's Mehdi Bourebbou quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Smail Makkeb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Harkouk in the 24th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Larbi Azzizi-Kettab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amar Baroudi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Harkouk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Smail Makkeb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zoheir Merbah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Amar Baroudi made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd match minute, Redwood Falls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Said Djamel to maneuver through the defense. If Yazid Soltani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Harkouk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Smail Makkeb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Smail Makkeb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Harkouk in the 74th minute of play. Yazid Soltani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Smail Makkeb having to interfere. Cheb Harkouk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Larbi Azzizi-Kettab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Malta getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jean-Michel Mihoubi hit a great ball. The Redwood Falls players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
