All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cheviot's Mohammad Achiou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Cheviot from getting a goal against them. Cheviot's Mohammad Achiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abderrachid Hamouda in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Thomson were awarded a corner. Rabah Djaout went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Abdelmalek Bouziane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheviot's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdelmalek Bouziane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Belaout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rabah Belaout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmalek Bouziane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abderrachid Hamouda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Achiou having to make a save. Mohammad Achiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abderrachid Hamouda in the 91st minute of the match. Thomson's Ali Belloumi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
