The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 11 minutes, Mohamed Drid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. White Marsh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Drid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Rachid Sadmi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noureddine Sofiane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Hocine Zarabi had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohamed Aliche during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, White Marsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Aliche to maneuver through the defense. If Ahmed Dziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hocine Mekhloufi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for White Marsh. After 23 minutes, Cheb Bougherra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Pasadena FC and the White Marsh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mohamed Drid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hocine Mekhloufi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fawzi Bencherif fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Pasadena FC's protests and gave Fawzi Bencherif a yellow card for diving instead. Fawzi Bencherif hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind East Pasadena FC's goalkeeper Hocine Mekhloufi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Drid in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hocine Mekhloufi saved East Pasadena FC from getting behind. Ahmed Dziri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mohamed Drid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmed Dziri made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Mustapha Djaout managed to get in a good position for a shot. White Marsh's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustapha Djaout was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hocine Mekhloufi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, East Pasadena FC's Nouredine Benchenaa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Hocine Mekhloufi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustapha Djaout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustapha Djaout took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hocine Mekhloufi. Hocine Mekhloufi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 67th minute, Cheb Bougherra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohamed Drid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hocine Mekhloufi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Noureddine Sofiane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Dziri in the 79th minute of the match. Mustapha Djaout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hocine Mekhloufi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustapha Djaout received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
