With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafik Azem in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amar Rimitti saved Sporting Venecia from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Djamel Bouteflika managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique de Paris FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Djamel Bouteflika was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amar Rimitti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting Venecia's Mohammed Daham got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Moulay Belmadi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Venecia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moulay Belmadi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Fodil Kourichi with Mohamed Feraoun as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Houari Reda Madouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Mohammed Daham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Venecia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Djamal Drid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Daham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohammed Daham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mohammed Daham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djamal Drid having to interfere. The supporters of Sporting Venecia booed when Olympique de Paris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Houari Reda Madouni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammed Daham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Djamal Drid having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Nasro in the 59th minute of play forced Olympique de Paris FC's goalkeeper Djamal Drid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moulay Belmadi couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Mohammed Daham sped through Olympique de Paris FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Djamal Drid. Amar Rimitti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djamel Bouteflika in the 85th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Venecia's Ahmed Bougherra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Djamal Drid. That made the score 0-7 after 87 minutes of play. Ahmed Bougherra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djamal Drid having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Olympique de Paris FC's Djamel Bouteflika nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amar Rimitti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7.
